Seth MacFarlane Got His Parents High For The Holidays

Parents can be notoriously difficult to shop for. Usually, parents already have everything they want. Either that or the things they do want are out of your price range. So why not give them an experience they’ll never forget, like smoking weed with their offspring?

That’s what Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane did for his folks one Christmas. According to MacFarlane, his parents used to brag about the drugs they used to do as kids. So one Christmas, MacFarlane and his sister brought marijuana to the house, and quickly enticed their parents into enjoying a session.

However, as MacFarlane told Jimmy Kimmel, the experience didn’t exactly go as planned.

“My mother was just laughing a lot, predictably, and my father turned to me—and I instantly regretted the whole enterprise—he said, ‘Y’know Seth, this is the first time you and I have been stoned together as father and son.”

“Lesson learned,” he later added. “Never doing it again.”
