The royal wedding is Saturday, which means it’s prime time for speculating about every possible detail of it. While news outlets are still concerned over which celebrities will be in attendance and which precious jewelry items Markle will wear, the bride’s family has taken center stage when it comes to drama.
After Markle’s father Thomas admitted that the adorable photos of him reading British books and magazines ahead of his daughter’s wedding were fake, he has both confirmed and denied his attendance to the royal wedding a million different times, confusing everyone and giving the media even more gossip material.
For now, Meghan’s only family member that’s confirmed to attend the royal wedding is Doria Ragland, her mother, with whom the actress has always had a close relationship with. Here we list Meghan Markle’s other family members who’ve been creeping up all over the news since the minute she announced her engagement to Prince Harry. No wonder they’re not invited:
Rumors regarding Thomas Markle’s attendance have never been consistent. When the wedding was first announced, a lot of people claimed that Ragland was the one who was going to give her daughter away at the altar. Those rumors were later disproven, and news outlets started saying that Prince William was the one who would give Meghan away.
With the recent “fake photos” scandal, rumors about Thomas Markle’s health started popping up making a lot of people question the status of his relationship with his daughter. Kensington Palace put the rumors to rest by releasing a statement from Meghan Markle claiming that her father would not be attending the wedding.

Thomas Markle Jr.
Markle Jr. is Meghan’s half-brother and he’s made a fuss over the fact that he wasn’t invited to the royal wedding, and that her lack of family invitations has torn their family apart. In a poorly spelled letter published by In Touch, Markle Jr. said that Meghan wasn’t compassionate with her family and that she was a “phony.”
Last year, Markle Jr. was accused of pointing a gun at his girlfriend in a drunken fit of rage, so it makes sense for him to be off the guest list. According to the Daily Mail, he hasn’t been in contact with Meghan ever since she started working on “Suits” back in 2011.
Grant is Meghan’s other half-sister, who’s made all sorts of deals to show up on TV shows and interviews to discuss her relationship with Meghan and make some money out of the whole situation, because why the hell not.
Vanity Fair reports that Grant has criticized Meghan for not supporting their father financially and not inviting her to the wedding, even though she wasn’t invited to Meghan’s first wedding either. Grant hasn’t been in contact with Markle since 2008. What’s the deal with these people?
