Here’s Why Royal Watchers Think Kate Middleton Is Planning To Have Another Kid

Here we go again. The Duchess of Cambridge was seen having fun with some kids this week, which must mean she’s planning another pregnancy, right?

If you’re the betting type, this might be a good time to place some money on Kate Middleton announcing a pregnancy next year. It seems every time the Duchess of Cambridge is seen looking in the direction of a child, betting sites slash the odds of her getting pregnant. (Er, “fallen pregnant”, according to royal standards.)

Royal fans got all crazy this week when a “broody-looking” Kate was seen being playful with some kids at the opening of a Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) wilderness garden. Obviously, that means she’s planning to expand her family. Express describes Kate as being in her “element as a mother” by chatting to children and even “petting” one little girl on the head.

But we’ve seen this before.

Earlier this year, just a few months before Meghan Markle gave birth, the 37-year-old mother of three was engrossed in royal obligations in Northern Ireland when she chatted it up with a 5-month-old little boy and his father, Alan Barr.

“He’s gorgeous. It makes me feel broody,” Duchess Kate said of the tot. For those of you who don’t speak British slang, “broody” basically means “nesting.” Like, Kate was saying she felt like she wanted another baby. Or was she just making small talk?

Barr straight up asked Kate, “Baby number four?” in which Middleton replied with a laugh and a  “I think William would be a little worried.” I think we’d all be worried.

Following this week’s “Broody Watch,” online betting site Ladbrokes placed the odds of Kate giving birth by the end of 2020 1:2 odds. Markle’s odds of having another kid next year is a bit higher at 4:7.
