Jennifer Lopez & Shakira Spill On Their Super Bowl 2020 Halftime Show
Jennifer Lopez and Shakira will combine forces for a Latin-fueled Super Bowl 2020 Halftime Show and the pop titans sat down for an interview to talk about the set during Fox’s coverage of the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers last on Thursday night.
After Lopez admitted that she loved that the championship game is set to take place in Miami, Shakira admitted that she’s feeling a mix of emotions. “I feel incredibly honored and humbled to be, in a way, next to J.Lo, representing the Latino community that is such an important force in the United States,” she explained during the interview.
Lopez went on to confess that the upcoming set is going to serve as “the marker of a new time,” emphasizing the beauty of having two Latino women deliver the performance. “It’s the marker of a new time, not just for the NFL but for this country. It sends an important message. At the end of the day, it’s about making a statement of love and unity and making everybody come together just for a moment, and hopefully that resonates for a long time,” she continued.
Lopez and Shakira haven’t talked about what they want to do yet, but the pair have nothing but high praise for each other. Meanwhile, an insider told ET that additional acts will be added to the show. “The NFL wants to make it a big event that focuses on Miami,” the source added. “The Super Bowl halftime show will be a melody of numerous acts, performing together at times.”
The Pepsi Super Bowl LIV Halftime Show is sponsored by Pepsi and scheduled to air on Fox at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida on February 2, 2020.
Justin & Hailey Beiber’s Wedding Causing Turmoil At South Carolina Hotel
Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are getting ready to tie the knot for a second time. Though they legally got married at a New York City court house last year, the bride and groom are reportedly set to wed in a religious ceremony on Monday (September 30) in South Carolina. They’ll be surrounded by friends and family, as well, on their special day.
According to TMZ, the Bieber wedding reception is set to take place at the Montage Palmetto Bluff hotel. Unsurprisingly, the location is gorgeous. The only problem, though, is that Justin and Hailey are taking over the hotel and blocking other guests from enjoying the amenities. TMZ obtained an email from the Montage Palmetto Bluff that was sent to guests on Wednesday (September 26), which informs them the spa, pool, and hotel restaurant will be off limits to them until the wedding is over.
In order to appease disgruntled guests upset their vacation is being waylaid by the Bieber-Baldwin Wedding Extravaganza, the Montage Palmetto Bluff hotel is offering refunds and upgrades, including free meals. While some guests are rescheduling their vacations entirely, the short notice will force guests already staying at the Montage Palmetto Bluff to continue their vacation without access to many of the hotel’s luxurious amenities.
Hopefully the hotel drama won’t put a damper on Justin and Hailey’s big day. The couple reportedly fell in love with the waterfront location while searching for the perfect venue, according to TMZ. The hotel overlooks the May River, so, you know their wedding photos will be absolutely stunning. Congratulations on wedding number two, Justin and Hailey!
