If you’re an avid royals watcher, you likely already know that that Meghan Markle and Prince Harrys’ wedding attire is on display at Holyroodhouse in Scotland (where the couple is referred to as the Earl and Countess of Dumbarton). But what you may not know is that there is an audio portion of the exhibit, personally narrated by Megs and Harry, that reveals some behind-the-scenes tidbits of their Big Day. Yes, Meghan and Harry reveal details about the wedding!
Meghans says because the wedding itself was enormous (about 600 guests were present for the nuptials at Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018), she and Harry did what they could to make it feel more intimate, saying:
“A great level of detail went into the planning of our wedding day.We knew how large the scale of the event would be, so in making choices that were really personal and meaningful, it could make the whole experience feel intimate.”

The Household Cavalry uniform created by Dege & Skinner that Harry wore is also on display. In the recording, he says he got permission from The Queen before choosing to wear it.
“I chose the frock coat as a uniform, with permission from my grandmother, because I think it’s one of the smartest Household Cavalry uniforms. It’s one of my favorites, and I was very fortunate to be able to wear that on the day.”
Princess Charlotte’s and Prince George’s outfits are also on display. Of note, the soles of Charlotte’s shoes are embroidered with her initials and the wedding date. Says Harry, “We had 10 bridesmaids and page boys under the age of 7, which everybody says is impossible to have them behaving, but they did it!” Meghan agreed, saying, “It was a miracle!”
