It’s not enough that Meghan Markle has Prince Harry all to herself, but does she also have to have flawless skin and killer bone structure? Our Prince may never come, but at least we can duplicate her beauty secret. The Duchess of Sussex has revealed that she gets her sculpted features by doing face yoga.
On her now defunct blog, The Tig, which was reposted by Birchbox back in 2014, Markle explained her bizarre beauty hack, saying, “I do facial exercises from one of my favorite aestheticians, Nichola Joss, who basically has you sculpt your face from the inside out. I swear it works, as silly as you may feel. On the days I do it, my cheekbones and jawline are waaaay more sculpted. There’s a reason she is in high demand around awards season when every actress wants to look A-plus.”

Back in 2013, in the height of her “Suits” days, Markle also told Birchbox that she relies on a simple trick that really makes her look put together, even when she’s not feeling it. “The one product I would never be able to live without would be a Shu Uemura eyelash curler. Even if you don’t have a stitch of makeup on…they suddenly look a bit more alive.”

Yeah, yeah, sure, Markle. You’re naturally perfect. Those facial stretches can’t possible work on us commoners. But hold on. There is actually a wee bit of science to back up Markle’s claims. Researchers at Northwestern University found that 20 weeks of a 30 min facial exercise program did actually provide younger looking skin and sculpted cheeks. However, the experiment was done on a small group of people, so results aren’t too convincing.
