Last week we wrote about Meryl Streep appearing on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and divulging her taboo secret—she was using cannabis-infused lotion. On one hand, that’s surprising coming from someone of Streep’s stature, but it’s also notable because her story represents an ongoing trend in Hollywood.
In previous years, as celebrities endured a hard day at work or a grueling promotion tour during awards season, they might grab a Tylenol or other pharmaceutical pill. But to deal with the pain many are now reaching for cannabis-infused lotion.

As Olivia Wilde recently told the New York Times:
Another thing I’m a huge believer in, in terms of body care: I’ve been using this body lotion that has CBD from marijuana. It’s called Lord Jones, and I discovered it through my friends in LA Recently I did a play on Broadway for six months, and my body was wrecked. My neck was really tight. The CBD has relaxing benefits, and the idea is to avoid using too many painkillers.
Wilde isn’t the only celebrity to tout the benefits of Lord Jones. Busy Phillips, Stacy London, Jessica Seinfeld and more have been effusive in their praise of the product. And what’s more is that Lord Jones isn’t asking—or paying—for them to do so.

“Our product first and foremost is safe and effective. We don’t pay anyone for endorsements none of the people that have spoken about our products publicly are not investors in the company or affiliated with the company in any way,” Cindy Capobianco, owner of Lord Jones, told Page Six.
“Whether they’re using it on their feet before they walk down the red carpet [or] whether they use it for joint pain … we feel incredibly grateful and blessed that [celebrities] have found their own and very different kinds of relief,” she also said.
