The only gift Oprah Winfrey ever needs to give anyone is knowing who you are. When Oprah knows your name, isn’t that gift enough? But the 65-year-old mogul doesn’t have her name stamped on a popular book club for nothing. She loves to learn, and she obviously wants the same to be true for anyone new unto this world. And that goes for Baby Sussex.
On Tuesday, Oprah told “Access Hollywood” that she knows exactly what she’s going to gift Meghan Markle and Prince Harry when their baby arrives, because she gives the same thing to every new parent. Said Oprah:
Oh, honey, I have a standard gift that I do for people that I really care about. I don’t know the baby’s name or the baby’s gender, but this baby will have enough books to last a lifetime.
It’s no secret Harry and Meghan are both fans of books. Back in 2016 when Meghan still had her lifestyle blog, The Tig, she wrote about the five books that changed her life. They range from The Tao of Pooh to The Motivation Manifesto.
And Harry dropped $10K on a first edition Winnie the Pooh book for his nephew, Prince Louis’s christening. According to The Sun, Harry plans to start a library for Prince Louis in honor of his late mother Princess Diana. So we can only imagine he’ll do the same for his own child.

Oprah also admitted to “Access Hollywood” that she has a soft spot for this particular baby. She’s been vocal about her support for Meghan during a time when the Duchess has been portrayed by the media as less than popular among palace staff, not to mention negative reports about her rumored feud with Kate Middleton.
Last month, Oprah told “CBS This Morning” that Meghan is being portrayed unfairly. “She is not only everything that we perceive of her in being graceful and dynamic in holding that position, but she just has a wonderful, warm, giving, loving heart.”
