We’re four months away from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding, and our boy Harry still hasn’t chosen a Best Man.
And according to his brother William, he hasn’t been asked to fill the position.
While chatting with UK radio host Roman Kemp on Wednesday, William said of his brother: “He hasn’t asked me yet, just to clear that up. It could be a sensitive subject.”

According to PEOPLE, the topic of Best Man arose while Kemp and Prince William were discussing the “Best Man Project,” recently launched by the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), a mental health charity aimed at preventing male suicide.
The whole idea behind “Best Man Project” is to encourage men to be a “best mate” throughout their lives; to be there for their friends and for their own mental health and not to wait until a special occasion, like a wedding, to be a supportive friend.

William said he and Harry bonded through their emotional openness after their mom, Princess Diana, died in 1997, saying, “Our relationship is closer than it’s been because of the situation we’ve been through.”
Losing our mother at a young age, it’s helped us travel through that difficult patch together. You’re like-minded. You go through similar things — it’s a bond, and it’s something you know you’ve tackled together and come out better for it.
He continued, saying, “That’s the thing about being a best mate, inevitably one of you is sometimes on an up, while the other is on a down. You’re always there for each other and repaying that favor.”

Markle has already chosen her maid of honor.
According to Elle Magazine, while the name of Markle’s MOH hasn’t been released, it’s likely going to be one of a small handful of women, including Markle’s stylist Jessica Mulroney, actress Priyanka Chopra, and Suits co-star Sarah Rafferty.

And, yes, even though it hasn’t been confirmed, it’s assumed Prince Harry’s best man will be Prince William. Hold tight, Will!
