Ryan Seacrest and Shayna Taylor have split — and according to an insider, they weren’t quite on the same page about the timeline of their future.
“After three years together, Shayna wanted more out of the relationship,” a source close to Taylor, 26, tells PEOPLE. “It felt like the natural next step for her. She was ready to get married, but Ryan wasn’t there yet.”
Nevertheless, the source says the two “really are still friendly.”
A second source close to the former couple tells PEOPLE that “Ryan and Shayna have always cared deeply about each other and had and have a wonderful relationship.”
“But it got to a point where it made more sense to break up. It had just run its course,” the source says. “But they are still very close.”
Taylor and Seacrest, 44, had called it quits, with a source calling it an “amicable split.”
After meeting through friends in 2013, the pair soon began dating, and following an initial breakup in late 2014, they rekindled the romance.
“Family is so important to me, and to Shayna as well, but I’ve always tried to put life into a master schedule with deadlines, and I don’t want to do that [with Shayna],” he said. “We both try to actually be in this moment, feel this connection, enjoy it and let it grow.”
The 32-year-old writer, actress and producer shared a photo of herself in lingerie with an intimate message on Tuesday. In it, she described feeling, over the years, like she was “too much” of one thing or another and that she needed to change in order to be accepted.
Now, she’s done with that. Today, Dunham wrote, she weighs, loves, reads and writes more than she ever has in her life, and, as a result, she’s the happiest she’s ever been. She described it as a “big, generous, jiggly happiness.”
Ahead of the season 11 premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race on Thursday night (February 28), the production company behind the hit show has released a teaser from the kickoff episode featuring special guest Miley Cyrus, who is seen going undercover in drag to shock the new batch of queens.
In the new teaser for the episode, which was posted on World of Wonder’s Instagram account, the 26-year-old pop star is seen dressed up a cre member named “Barry ‘B.J.’ Johnson” with a fake beard, glasses and an outfit similar to any other production assistant. “I am the guest judge on this week’s panel, but first, I wanted to go undercover with the ladies,” Cyrus says in her confessional clip. “So, I’m going in as a crew member. They’re never gonna know what hit ’em.” Cyrus is just one of the famous faces set to appear on the new season of the Emmy-winning TV competition, including Troye Sivan, Tiffany Pollard, Lena Waithe, Cara Delevigne and many more.
As for their first challenge, the 14 contestants will need to creature signature looks from materials belonging to former Drag Race cast members. Among the new queens include A’keria Chanel Daveport, Ariel Versace, Brooke Lynn Hytes, Honey Davenport, Kahana Montrese, Mercedes Iman Diamond, Nina West, Plastique Tiara, Ra’jah O’Hara, Scarlet Envy, Shuga Cain, Silky Nutmeg Ganache, Soju, Yvie Oddly, and the big return of Vanessa Vanjie Mateo.
Make sure you tune into the season premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race on February 28 at 9/8 PM on VH1.
