10 Most Tweeted About Celebs Of 2018

Social media trends are a pretty accurate temperature of pop culture. And in 2018, as Twitter details, the most tweeted celebs certainly seem like a spot-on reflection of our obsessions.

“In 2018, people on Twitter connected, campaigned, learned, debated, and had conversations,” a spokesperson for Twitter told TIME regarding its annual year end list, adding:

As we reach the end of 2018, Twitter is reflecting on the year that was: from breaking news, entertainment, sports, and conversations. If it happened anywhere, it happened on Twitter.

While that seems like a pretty cardboard statement, it certainly rings true. For the second year in a row, the number one most tweeted about celebrity is BTS. The K-Pop band is also currently ranked at the top of TIME’s 2018 Person of the Year readers’ poll.

The band is not only the most tweeted about user across the platform, but they’re the most tweeted about musician in the U.S. (BTS also had the most liked tweet of 2018, which was their video for Drake’s #InMyFeelingsChallenge, which garnered more than 14 million views.)

Here’s how other celebs stack up:

  1. BTS (@BTS_twt)
  2. LeBron James (@KingJames)
  3. Kanye West (@KanyeWest)
  4. Drake (@Drake)
  5. EXO (@weareoneEXO)
  6. Ariana Grande (@ArianaGrande)
  7. Cardi B (@iamCardiB)
  8. Beyoncé (@Beyonce)
  9. Park Ji-min (#Jimin)
  10. Nicki Minaj (@NickiMinaj)

According to TIME, although Park Ji-Min (@jiminpark07) was originally listed as No. 9 on this list, Twitter has acknowledged that the spot actually belongs to Jimin from BTS, who does not have an individual Twitter account.

This Mexican Canna-Punch Is The Only Cinco De Mayo Drink You Need

I think the holiday of Cinco de Mayo is more a good excuse to get happy than the actual meaning of the day — as far as I know it’s the Mexican Independence Day — but for all intents and purposes, its Tequila & Weed Day for me.
