Our sex lives are all extremely varied and personal, but that doesn’t mean that trends don’t pop up. Wired gathered data on Americans and their sex lives, collecting information from people of all ages, genders and sexualities. They found some very interesting patterns of sexual behavior.
Check out five of the strangest and most curious things researchers discovered.
Millennials are the demographic that’s had the least amount of sex

While Baby Boomers sleep with an average of 12 people in their lifetimes, Gen Xers sleep with around 10 people. Millennials are clocking in the lowest numbers, having just eight sexual partners over their lifetimes. This trend is reflected in other studies, where millennials are reporting much less sex than previous generations.
When you’ll have the most sex
According to Wired‘s data, Americans have the most sex when they’re in between the ages of 30 and 34.
Americans kiss around 21 people
That’s very nice. When added together, Americans also spend an average of two weeks kissing. And will have exchanged over 278 types of bacteria, which isn’t that nice.
Most lose their virginities in their teen years

The data claims that men lose their virginities when they’re 16.8 years old, and women when they’re 17.2.
Your sexuality doesn’t affect the amount of sexual partners
