Yoga is a relaxing meditation exercise to stretch the limitations of your body, soul, and mind. Bitcoin, on the other hand, is a tech boy’s wet dream of solving all the problems in the world including, but not limited to, currencies, infrastructure, and fraud. These are things that should not go together.
The Kali Psychedelic Bookstore and Café in Berlin has a different take. The café hosted an event recently combining the two practices and it looked something like this: attendees enjoyed Bitcoin Yoga, which included a version of asana yoga, as they listened to short talks about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Fun, right?
“Between poses, self-appointed ‘experts’ will be on hand to answer your questions about cryptocurrencies,” read the event’s Meetup page.
Motherboard reached out to the event’s organizers where they learned the event didn’t go along as they expected. Via email, a bookstore rep told them:
We changed something in our plans, as we need more ideas for this event. Therefore we have an event about 5-Meo-DMT tonight.
According to Motherboard, “the bookstore is still bullish on cryptocurrencies” and accepts Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Steem for payments.
Is it that surprising that two things situated at such polar opposites didn’t come together as planned? It’s like expecting a surfing pizza buffet to work, which…man that’d be awesome if it did. But sometimes things don’t go together and that’s okay.
