In his new video for GQ, Vince Staples explains the on-going Summer Olympics in Rio. He shares his takes on synchronized diving (“This shit is like an FKA Twigs video”) table tennis (“Forrest Gump…is one of the greatest champions we’ve ever had in this world”), and Simone Biles. “She looks like she’s mean,” he said of Biles. “Like, don’t talk to her about how nice you are because she’ll let you know your little handspring is trash.”
But he saved his harshest criticism for the fancy horse sports. “Fuck these grown ass people trying to ride these horses,” he said. “Why are they wearing a tophat?”
All solid takes, but not nearly as good (or as savage) as the ones the rapper leveled on NBA players earlier this year.
