Between now and December 31, 2021, cities, towns, and villages in New York can elect to “opt-out” of the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act.
In order for those sales to happen, New York must first establish a regulated marketplace.
Gov. Cuomo signed into law the “Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act“ which includes provisions that may change how the state will regulate its hemp industry.
