5 Cannabis Products To Help You Celebrate World Pride

Pride month has grown over the years, starting with riots and protests that evolved into marches and causes for celebration. With every passing Pride event, it’s easy to see how far the LGBTQ community has come, and how the world has morphed into a more accepting place. Fifteen years ago, advertisements for Pride were niche and rare. Nowadays it’s almost a requirement.

This Wednesday marked the beginning of World Pride, a global event that will be hosted in New York City, happily coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots. What a better way to celebrate than to gain some awareness and consume some of the best products in the cannabis industry?

The following businesses celebrate pride by helping out the LGBTQ community and donating funds to relevant organizations. Check out some of our favorites.

Lowell Herb Co. partnered up with Dina Rodriguez of Letter Shoppe to design a Pride themed package that comes with a special poster. With this product, Lowell Herb became the first cannabis company to partner up with GLAAD, donating 10% of the profits to LGBTQ organizations throughout the month of June. “It’s ideal to be able to work with like-minded brands that believe in a better world where women and the LGBTQ community have a stronger voice,” said Rodriguez of the partnership.

These organizations create benefits for all LGBTQ people but focus primarily on members impacted by social, economic and racial inequality.”As a company focused on sexual health, we firmly believe in the healing power of pleasure — and we’re deeply aware of the toxic effects of sexual shame on minds, bodies, and culture,” states Foria on their website.

Uncle Ike’s Pot Shop

Uncle Ike’s pot shop is taking things to the next level, partnering up with Entre Hermanos, a Seattle based latino LGBT organization, and directly helping out LGBTQ asylum seekers. With this partnership the store will donate up to 10% of the proceeds made between the dates of June 24 and 30, hoping to reach the goal of $37,000. “We couldn’t do what we do without neighbors like Uncle Ike’s. Their generosity empowers us as we expand our ongoing medical case management and Spanish-language support groups, fight for immigrant rights, and organize around the 2020 Census,” said Owen David, Entre Hermanos’ development manager.
