How does anyone properly show love for their favorite artists? The mark of a true fan involves displaying your allegiance to your favorite artist as loudly as possible. Like, say, wearing a shirt with an artist’s face on it. That’s what Frank Ocean did this past weekend when he performed at Parklife Festival in Manchester, England. While on stage, Frank Ocean wore a t-shirt with a giant picture of Brad Pitt’s face on it. His face is dreamy and pensive, contemplative you might say.

This move by Ocean to display fandom of Brad Pitt is perhaps a subtle nod to a candid, post-divorce interview Pitt gave to GQ Style this year. Not only did he share his all-time dream smoking buddies, but he also conveyed affection for Ocean and his music.

Here’s what Pitt said: “I’ve been listening to a lot of Frank Ocean. I find this young man so special. Talk about getting to the raw truth. He’s painfully honest. He’s very, very special. I can’t find a bad [song].”
So it appears for now the feeling’s mutual. Ocean and Pitt are conveying public affectations for one another. We can only hope this continues.
