In May, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle will officially be in-laws. But already, they are becoming fast friends.
People spoke to several of those close to Kate, including a source from her hometown of Bucklebury, England, who says, “I’m sure Kate will do all she can to help Meghan.” The Princess has been mentoring Meghan during her transition into the royal family.
As People notes, Meghan will have a bit more breathing room, seeing as how she is not poised to become the Queen anytime soon, unlike Kate, whose husband William is second in line to the throne. With the couple’s third child due in April, William’s brother, Harry, will now be sixth in line.
And even though Kate and Meghan, both 36, grew up in wildly different upbringings — Kate on the English countryside and Meghan in Los Angeles — both have reportedly bonded while being neighbors at Kensington Palace. Plus, both women fell in love with a Prince.
