Of course, it’s a little different now, with those pesky infidelity rumors swirling around them. But even after eight years of marriage and three children, they are still making it work. Marie Claire took a trip down memory lane and dusted off an engagement interview from 2010 and took note when William mentioned that he was drawn to Kate’s wit. But it’s how he described that cheeky wit that is of interest. As to how the two hit it off when they initially met, Will explained:
She’s got a really naughty sense of humor which really helps me because I’ve got a really dirty sense of humor so it was good fun, we had a really good laugh, and then things happened.
“Things” happened, huh, Will? Is that right?
In classic Kate fashion, the Duchess turned a charming shade of red while discussing the details of the couple’s courtship.

When the interviewer asked Kate what she thought of William, her answer was a little more reserved.
“I actually went bright red when I met you and sort of scuttled off feeling very shy about meeting you,” she said while glancing at Will. “William wasn’t there for quite a bit of the time initially, he wasn’t there from Fresher’s Week, so it did take a bit of time for us to get to know each other, but we did become very close friends from quite early on.”
