People Can’t Get Over How Perfect Meghan Markle’s Handwriting Is

Is there anything she’s not amazing at? Meghan Markle is already recognized as a fashion influencer, a new mom, and she’s married to a prince. And now we know she’s also skilled at a dying art: calligraphy.

Her impeccable handwriting first grabbed our attention last December, while the Duchess of Sussex was visiting the Brinsworth House nursing home in Twickenham. During a crafting session, Markle showed off her fancy penmanship.

“Merry Christmas. Love, Meghan,” her note read.

Meghan told Esquire in 2013 that she learned the art of calligraphy during her time at an all-girls Catholic school, back when they still taught handwriting.

“I’ve always had a propensity for getting the cursive down pretty well,” she said. “What it evolved into was my pseudo-waitressing job when I was auditioning. I didn’t wait tables. I did calligraphy for the invitations for, like, Robin Thicke and Paula Patton’s wedding.”

She also put her skill to good use for Dolce & Gabbana’s celebrity correspondence over the holidays.

“I would sit there with a little white tube sock on my hand so no hand oils got on the card, trying to pay my bills while auditioning. I’m glad that in the land of no one seeming to appreciate a handwritten note anymore that I can try to keep that alive.”
