None of us are feeling very good about the Charlottesville mess. And leave it to SNL to deliver the remedy to our current state of morose by having Tina Fey address the nation in a way only she can: with humor and cake.
A University of Virginia  alum Fey says, “I have nothing but fond memories of my time there, and I graduated a virgin and I still liked it —  that’s how good the architecture is down there.” Fey proceeds to verbally punch Donald John Trump (“what a stupid jackass name that is, but he gets away with it because he’s gorgeous”) and express her heartbreak over the  “evil forces” that descended upon Charlottesvill by diving into a sheet cake to deal with her lament,
She urges people that instead of participating in screaming matches this weekend, to support their local bakery and order a cake with an American flag and go to town. Not only eat the cake, she suggests, but yell into it after you see “a bunch of white boys in Polo shirts screaming about taking our country back.”
