Photos Reveal Tons About Kate Middleton And Meghan Markle’s Personalities

Body language is an art. While some people may claim that it’s a hokey practice, there are experts that vow for it, claiming that it’s an incredibly telling way of getting to know someone’s personality. Even though Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton’s pictures are closely monitored by the Kensington Palace, experts believe that even these controlled images explain and give us tons of insight on their subjects.

While Kate Middleton has had some time accommodating to the royal spotlight, Meghan Markle has also had her fair share of camera experience thanks to her acting career. According to Independent.co.uk, Kate Middleton is more reserved towards the camera, never looking at it directly and acting as a passive subject. Markle is different, always finding ways of looking at the camera directly and of being a much more active subject. This gives the viewer a feeling of warmth, making her persona seem more open and welcoming.

Cosmopolitan discussed with Judi James, author of The Body Language Bible, who argues that these differences between Middleton and Markle are “generational differences.” Even though both women are the same age,  Markle acts like someone who belongs to the selfie generation, addressing the camera with a direct gaze and suggesting open ways of communication and honesty.

Kate Middleton’s behavior suggests that she’s not as comfortable under the spotlight and that she’s more shy and reserved.

Via Cosmopolitan:

“The fact she has even got behind the camera herself to snap some of her children’s official photos suggests a slightly more introverted personality than the camera-confident Meghan.”

Hmm, who knew?
