She was approached and conisidered when she discovered the Republican National Committee (RNC) paid expenses for fundraisers at a “lesbian bondage” themed nightclub. She felt the RNC’s use of party funds for sex convinced her Republicans represented her libertarian values. Daniels had been a registered Democrat but now identifies as a libertarian and bisexual.
