The Sun Is Out, Reach For Your CBD Sunscreen

Summer is here and the sun is out, which mean our body is going to be much more exposed. Sun is the source of vitamin D, which has a profound impact on our immune system. People have been thriving in the sun for thousands of years, but excess exposure to UV rays from the sun can actually damage the skin. When the sun is out, reach for your CBD sunscreen.

The official forecast calls for much warmer than normal conditions for most of the nation. For many regions, the heat will seem unrelenting, persisting from late June through early September.  This means the need for hats, lots of good fluids and sunscreen.

While sunscreen has been around since Ancient Greece (guess those togas weren’t good at protecting the skin), it has involved into a X industry to help folks from the downside of rays.  Recently , CBD sunscreens have emerged on the market and are providing cool relief for millions.  Aside from being a skin friendly carrier oil, CBD also has anti-inflammatory properties, which keeps skin from becoming inflamed by the sun. Of course CBD is working in conjunction with zinc oxide, and they seem to make a mighty team. Cannabinoid alchemists everywhere seem to be infusing sunscreen with CBD.

According to a first-ever study, CBD can protect laboratory-grown skin cells from cell death triggered by UVB rays — the component of sunlight that causes sunburns, skin cancer, and premature aging.

These findings indicate that CBD could be a beneficial additive to sunscreens and may offer more protection than sunscreen alone.

The study was led by the biotechnology company Applied Biology Inc.

Target, Amazon, Walmart, JC Penny’s and whole host of other stories carry the sunscreens. Lather up and have a fun summer.
