The 83-year old died of Alzheimer’s Disease, which he was diagnosed with three years ago. While he kept his disease private, his legendary movies will be publicly celebrated for years to come. He was mainly known for his comedic roles, but also for his portrayal of Willy Wonka in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971).
