What’s The Difference Between Vaping And E-Cigs?

Used interchangeably, vaping and Juuling are common terms that have become normcore at this point. In the span of a few short years, we’ve grown used to seeing people, often teens, sucking on devices that look like a pen-drive in areas that were previously classified as non-smoking.

The rise of vape pens has been so intense that, per BBC News, e-cigarette giant Juul is now worth $38 billion. This sum is believed to have contributed significantly to the steady decline of cigarette sales.

E-cigarettes and vape pens are terms used conjointly, lending themselves to tons of confusion. What you should know is that while all e-cigs are a form of vape pen, not all vape pens are e-cigs.

Vaping is the act of inhaling and exhaling vapor from a small powered battery device. What you consume from the device, be that nicotine or marijuana, is up to you.

What most experts agree on is that vaping is inherently healthier than smoking a cigarette or a joint. Vape pens warm up and vaporize what you’re inhaling, getting rid of the tar that fire produces and that harms your lungs. While nicotine is still bad for you, at least you’re getting rid of some cancerous factors (although Juul pods pack more nicotine than other e-cigs in order to be more addictive).

Vaping in moderation might be the best way to inhale whatever it is you want to consume.
