The royal engagement photos of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are here and they’re smokin’ hot! The couple really knows how to create FOMO for us plebeians.
For the photo shoot, Markle wore a Ralph & Russo gown with a nude-colored lining to take the sexy-quotient down a notch — as you do when you’re a royal. She also posed in a more casual sweater.

The yin and yang of the formal and informal photos was reportedly started by Harry’s parents, Prince Charles and Lady Diana. As Variety points out, one official portrait shows Diana decked out in an emerald green ball gown, while Charles is stiffly posed in his full navy uniform, like some sort of twisted prom photo op. But, as royal tradition seems to now follow, the couple released another portrait that shows them looking like catalog models, wearing matching blue cotton oxfords. Brunch, anyone?
As you can see by these photos, Harry and Meghan did the same thing: a formal attired photo and a more romantic, laid-back portrait. The two also bucked tradition (again!) by taking a third photo. These kids!

By way of royal press release, photographer Alexi Lubomirki says: “It was an incredible honor to be asked to document this wonderful event, but also a great privilege to be invited to share and be a witness to this young couple’s love for one another. I cannot help but smile when I look at the photos that we took of them, such was their happiness together.”
Harry and Meghan are scheduled to be married on May 19, 2018 at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
