Alligator And Python Fight To The Death In Florida

Clash of the Titan – Alligator vs Python on a golf course

An alligator and a Burmese python were locked in a deathly fight in the middle of a golf course in Naples, Florida. Because it’s Florida. It wasn’t long before people, instead of running for their lives like anyone in their sane minds would, started to pick sides and take pictures.

One of the witnesses of the fight uploaded a few pictures on Facebook, claiming that it was a wild day at the golf course, and that the alligator seemed to have the upper hand.

Other sources agree that, indeed, the alligator had the upper hand and that he was as cool as a cucumber.

“The python’s head was inside the mouth of the alligator and the alligator was just sitting there absolutely still with his eyes wide open…”

Sstate wildlife authorities claimed they were “team alligator” only because Burmese pythons weren’t part of Florida’s ecosystem, and that their presence could harm it. “We are encouraged by the prospect of a native Florida alligator consuming an invasive Burmese python,” said Brian Norris, representative of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).

Burmese pythons are not native to Florida and negatively impact native species. They are found primarily in and around the Everglades ecosystem in south Florida, where they prey on birds, mammals and other reptiles. A female Burmese python can lay 50 to 100 eggs at a time. Since 2000, more than 22,000 wild Burmese pythons have been removed from the state of Florida and reported to the FWC.

Probably the worst possible scenario to brag about Floridian strength.
