The Duke and Duchess of Sussex kicked off Pride month in the U.K. by selecting LGBTQ rights as their social issue of choice for June.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle posted a series of photos on their Instagram account on Saturday letting everyone know that, following their new tradition of choosing a new cause each month to highlight, they are shining a light on PRIDE for the month of June.
The caption reads: “This month we pay tribute to the accounts supporting the LGBTQ+ community – those young and old, their families and friends, accounts that reflect on the past and are hopeful for a deservedly more inclusive future.”

The couple follows a brand new set of Instagram accounts each month related to their cause of choice. This month, they’ve chosen to follow 11 new accounts including: It Gets Better, Human Rights Campaign, Elton John AIDS Foundation, Matthew Shepard Foundation and Pride.

The royal couple launched their public Instagram account, @SussexRoyal, April 2 and quickly gained a million followers in less than six hours, landing it in the Guinness World Records.
The new parents explained in a post back in April that they are only going to follow organizations close to their collective heart, and that list will change each month based on whatever cause they are currently supporting. For instance in May, they only followed accounts that promote mental wellness in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month.
