How cheesy do you like your cheese pizza? Pure mozzarella only, or are you a classic dollops of ricotta cheese kind of person? Maybe you like a blend.
What about 101 cheeses on one pizza pie, including cheese in the crust? Does that do it for you?

Well that’s what Scotties Pizza Parlor in Portland did in honor of Portland Pizza Week, deciding to throw all caution to the wind and just going for it.
The pie is called the Centouno Formaggio Pizza and, as the Scotties Pizza Parlor website explains, the pie wouldn’t exist without…Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The Centouno Formaggio pizza is inspired by the Novantanove Formaggio (99-cheese) pizza was depicted in 2014’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film. The year of the film’s release, world champion pizzamaker Johnny di Francesco of 400 Gradi Pizzeria in Melboure, Australia created a 99-cheese pizza, simply to prove that it was not a “culinary impossibility,” as exclaimed by Donatello in the film. This year we pay our own tribute to the Turtles, and with respect to Mr. Francesco, we must out-cheese his 99-cheese pizza and earn a title of our own!
The pizza’s ingredients include 55-cheese blend plus 36 other soft cheeses and a blend of nine grated cheeses. And as we mentioned the crust is stuffed. Apparently the 101 cheese-pizza could be a World Record, as Scotties applied to Guinness though it isn’t certificate official yet.
“The goal was to make it taste like a regular slice of cheese pizza,” owner Scottie Rivera said to Fox News. “With the first bite, you don’t know what to expect, so you can almost mistake it for a regular slice. Then you chew a little more and you start to get a lot of character here: there’s things going on, it’s almost hard to place.
“It’s like a journey from the tip of the slice. It’s crazy and exciting to eat.”
