Incoming Gov. Tim Walz has been paying attention to all the cannabis legalization going down in the U.S. and believes that it’s high time Minnesota joined the ranks.
Despite cannabis-infused edibles being illegal in Canada, they’re moving towards categorizing CBD as a natural health food product alongside other vitamins.
Commissioner Scott Gottlieb also emphasized that FDA “has authority to issue a regulation” that would allow these naturally-occurring hemp compounds in a food or dietary supplement.
Conducted by David Bier at the Cato Institute, the new report demonstrates that less marijuana is being smuggled across the border amidst cannabis legalization at the state level.
The move positions Thailand as the first Southeast Asian country to legalize cannabis use, which is significant, as the region maintains some of the harshest drug laws in the world.
