No one’s better at playing the Halloween game than celebrities. Maybe it’s the looks or the money — it’s probably a healthy combination of the two — but these people always manage to have the best outfits and ideas come October 31.
This year, a wide range of celebrities tried their hardest to be the best during their respective Halloween parties. Although we weren’t there, we can appreciate and marvel from a distance. Check out some of the best outfits celebrities wore over the weekend.
Joe Jonas as Sansa Stark
Despite the fact that the wig looks cheap, it’s pretty damn creative that Joe Jonas dressed up as his real life girlfriend’s most iconic role. Even though there were millions of people who dressed up as “Game Of Thrones” characters, Joe Jonas take the prize for the added layer of irony. If only Sophie Turner would’ve dressed as Shane Grey from Camp Rock.
Zoe Kravitz as a sleepy vampire
Vampires are a dime a dozen on Halloween, but none of them look as good as Zoe Kravitz’ sleepy version of a rich vampire. Even though she naturally looks like a cool super model, the added touch of the robe and the bloody mug give the outfit a sense of hard work and thought.
Rita Ora as Post Malone
Rita Ora’s costume as Post Malone is unique and slightly disturbing. Even though I have a hard time thinking of why someone would go to these lengths to look like Post Malone of all people, I’m still impressed.
Gabrielle Union as Gwen Stefani
Gwen Stefani in her No Doubt years is an iconic look. Kudos to Gabrielle Union for coming up with the idea and scavenging all the Hot Topics in Hollywood in order to find those pants.
Olivia Munn as Peik Lin
Crazy Rich Asians is one of the most popular movies of the year, thanks in part to Awkwafina’s performance as Peik Lin. Olivia Munn’s version of the character is wearing a different shirt, but the similarity is there and that’s what counts.
Halsey as Poison Ivy
Even though everyone and their mother dresses up as Poison Ivy on Halloween, we have to admit that Halsey looks spot on as the iconic character.
