In another embarrassing case of companies that want to engage with a younger audience, Saucony has developed the Shadow 600 Avocado Toast. Nope, this isn’t the name of the next great brunch dish. These are avocado themed sneakers.

Instead of developing shoes that look like actual avocados, which would be kind of cool, Saucony developed regular workout shoes that evoke the colors and the feel of real avocado toast. As you’d expect, they green and brown in color, with some red spots sprinkled throughout that are meant to be the red pepper flakes. The store’s website describes the shoes as everything you “avo-wanted,” made up of “toast-ed” leather, smashed avocado textured suede, red pepper flake collar lining, and the “Saucamole” shout out on the heel.” Saucony is not a big fan of subtlety.
Although the shoe will surely prompt many think pieces about millennials and how dumb they make the world, you have to appreciate the company’s desire to stay relevant and the very cute avocado logo on the sole of the shoe. You can check out more information on Saucony’s website.
