Habs the Cocker Spaniel loves his plush teddy bear so much, he can’t stand to be without it. Even when it’s taking a spin in the washing machine.
Jacqueline Estey told The Dodo that the stuffed animal used to belong to her, until Habs moved in three years ago. He took a strong liking to the toy and now the two are inseparable.
He likes to bring the bear all around the house. If you pick it up, he’ll follow you around until you put it back down for him.
And she’s not kidding. Recently, Estey put the bear through the wash and Habs followed. He stayed with his friend through the entire dryer cycle.
“I have never seen him do that for anything in the wash, other than his bear,” Estey told The Dodo. “It was hilarious when I realized he was sitting there for the whole entire cycle and wasn’t moving for anything!”

Estey said Habs was so traumatized by the bear wash that he apparently had a dream that his friend was still stuck in the wash cycle. “I heard Habs scratching at the dryer door. When I went in there, he was looking for his bear in the washer and dryer!”
She says she walked Habs downstairs to show him that his bear was actually in the dog bed the two fluffy friends share. He reportedly slept fine after that.
Who doesn’t want a partner that worries about them the way Habs worries about his stuffed bear?
