How Amazing Does This Women-Only Marijuana Retreat Sound?

If Wonder Woman’s home-world hosted a cannabis retreat, it’d probably look something like this. This August and September, Ganja Goddess Getaway is hosting a women-only marijuana retreat in several California locations.

The mission of the retreat is to “help connect women to each other and to the plant.” They say, on their website:

  • We want to promote the love, friendship, and connections that women have – with themselves, each other, and the world around them.
  • We are about women helping women become the best versions of themselves.
  • Cannabis is a powerful therapeutic tool to enhance spiritual practices and promote creativity.
  • Cannabis helps us take down our walls and remove our masks so that we can love and heal our most authentic selves.

Co-founder Sailene Ossman told Well&Good:

“The vision is to offer women a way to connect with their divine feminine and to connect to each other as sisters, and we feel that cannabis is the ideal tool to accomplish both. We’re creating a movement of sisterhood and connection through cannabis.”

There’s no shortage of self-care retreats to choose from around the world, but of course what set this one apart is how it incorporates marijuana into everyday practice. Tickets range from $120 for a day pass to $420 for access to a more deluxe experience, which includes $200 worth of cannabis and cannabis products.

If getting high and bonding with a bunch of like-minded lady-friends isn’t your thing, no worries—the organizers say it’s not required that attendees smoke weed. No one will peer pressure you into it. But if you’re there anyway, you might just end up trying something new.
