SPEAKING OUT: JENNIFER ANISTON’S EX HUSBAND JUSTIN THEROUX HAS SPOKEN FOR THE FIRST TIME ABOUT THEIR SPLIT

He tells the New York Times, ‘The good news is that was probably the most — I’m choosing my words really carefully — it was kind of the most gentle separation, in that there was no animosity… In a weird way, just sort of navigating the inevitable perception of it is the exhausting part… Again, neither one of us is dead, neither one of us is looking to throw hatchets at each other…’It’s more like, it’s amicable. It’s boring, but, you know, we respected each other enough that it was as painless as it could be. It was heartbreaking only in the sense that the friendship would not be the same, as far as just the day to day… But the friendship is shifting and changing, you know, so that part is something that we’re both very proud of”

The “Baby” hitmaker first appears to be poking fun at his fans’ excitement in the video, before he starts to twitch uncontrollably with his eyes closed.

Drawing a fan in for a hug, Justin is then seen frantically stroking her back, before he turns to the camera for a picture with his fists shaking in front of him.

The video immediately went viral online, with fans voicing their concerns he had taken drugs on Twitter.

Men Are Using iPhone’s Measure App To Take Pictures Of Their Penises

When executives at Apple got together to discuss Measure, the new app for measuring stuff, it’s possible at least one of the developers foresaw the app lending itself for measuring other items aside from furniture. In this day and age of internet hook-ups, nudes, and dick pics, it was only a matter of time before the iPhone joined in the party and guys started to measure their junk with the help of augmented reality.

Instead of pulling out a ruler or some measuring tape, Measure allows users to open up their cameras and take a picture of whatever it is they want to measure. By tapping on some endpoints, users are able to instantly find out measurements and all sorts of related data.

Despite this recent trend of taking dick pics with augmented reality apps, a tech blogger from Kirkville claims that Measure’s data is not very accurate, and that if you measure the same object twice, it gives you two different results, saying, “The Measure app is a good party toy, but little more, in its current state.”

Technology developments tend to boost nude pics and internet sexual exchanges with the New York Post noting that since Airdrop became mainstream, men have been sending nude pictures more often. Is Measure another game changing app? Only time will tell.

8 Of The Best Celebrity Marijuana Brands

As cannabis spreads across the U.S. like wildfire, it’s getting cooler, just in different ways. Cannabis has been underground, in-the-know cool since the sixties, when only squares didn’t partake. Back then, the only real celebrities promoting weed use were Cheech and Chong, way before either of them had become brand bearing names.

Now pot’s cool in a mainstream, partially legalized and highly regulated way. It’s cool across the board and celebrities are jumping feet first into the Green Rush. Here are 8 of the best celebrity marijuana brands and what sets them apart, aside from a prominent name.

Tommy Chong Still, Of Course

Circling back to Tommy Chong, he’s rebranded his original line of bongs and pipes into “Chong’s Choice,” which in legal states like California offers pre-rolls, custom flower jars that of course include a high grade measure of flowers, cartridges and edibles, which are all, though great, pretty par for the course. Another product, however, is the 40mg THC Breath Strip, which the website says, “Chong’s Choice has chosen this method as one of its initial product offerings to define our commitment to quality medicine in a cutting edge environment.”

The Bob Marley Estate

Rita Marley and her 11 children with Bob Marley are also natural picks for top celebrity estates. The Marley name carries with it the legacy of the legendary reggae musician and everything he represented, most of all love and positivity. That essence is crafted into the Marley Natural brand’s products, like pre-rolls, ganja, smoking implements and soon to come hemp salves and legal herbal remedies. In Jamaica herbal remedies have been perfected over generations and the fact that the Marley family is sharing some of the recipes with the world is pretty freaking cool.

Willie’s Reserve Resonates

Willie Nelson is another obvious celebrity to be on the Cannabis branding train. He already pretty much was a cannabis brand before even entering the market. His gentle, mellow manner may mean more melodious moods, with his flower, vape, edible and accessory lines. There are hard candies to suck on and strains like “Tractor Beam” available at select locations, somehow bringing to mind his affinity for farmers, especially of the cannabis variety.

Take A Hit From Mike Tyson

The former heavyweight boxer “Iron” Mike Tyson broke ground on Tyson Ranch back in April, which became a cannabis farm located around 100 miles outside of Los Angeles. Not only does he have 20 acres of master grower quality cannabis, the compound also proposes that they’ll offer an “edibles factory” as well as an amphitheater and an elite campsite area. This definitely sets the Tyson Ranch apart, as it will be a cannabis resort of sorts as well as a producing farm and processing facility.

The Trailer Park Boys (Ricky, Julian and Bubbles) love their weed on the hit Canadian show about a ragtag group of friends all living in the same trailer park and causing trouble in pretty much every show. They’re newest preroll and strain venture with OrganiGram goes well beyond comedy, however. “Our recreational brand strategy incorporates the best of what we know about our current and potential customers, the industry and opportunities for growth, and the production of our premium products,” Greg Engel, OrganiGram’s CEO, said in a statement.

Make sure you have your car service app up to date before imbibing in this combo, or enjoy it at home, but be sure to pair it with your favorite foods and, if you’re only having a glass or two, perhaps your favorite strain as well.

And so in July of this year he announced plans to partner with “a leading cannabis company.” What that will exactly entail, aside from being “The Mighty Croz,” will be seen in time, but, as with all of the aforementioned celebs, it’s no far stretch this iconic musician is dipping into the cannabis marketplace. It just makes sense.

Green Market Report: Marijuana Money Sept. 21

What a crazy week for cannabis stocks. Tilray began the week at $117, which was already a fairly rich valuation. It closed at $154 on Tuesday and then all hell broke loose. It opened at $233 on Wednesday, shot up to $300 at one point, dropped to $151 and then the trading was halted during the day. It eventually reopened and the stock closed at $214.

Tilray was approved by the DEA to bring in medical marijuana for a scientific study, which made some people think this was opening the floodgates for cross-border cannabis sales. Actually, it was a classic short squeeze from the short sellers who had been screaming to short the stock.

Also earlier this week, Bloomberg reported that Coca-Cola was considering doing a beverage deal with Aurora Cannabis. Both firms denied they were in talks but left some wiggle rooms saying they always look at various deals. Still, the market went nuts about Coca-Cola making a CBD drink. Aurora Cannabis COO Cam Battley told the Financial Post that it would soon be listing its stock on a major exchange in the U.S., but wouldn’t disclose which one it would be.

MJ Freeway scored $10 million in an oversubscribed deal this week.

Pure Global Cannabis also did a $10 million private placement and Valens GroWorks did a bought deal valued at C$25 million.

In acquisitions….

MPX Bioceutical  (MPXEF) is acquiring all of the outstanding shares in the capital of Spartan Wellness Corporation from Ninth Square Capital Corporation and Veteran Grown Corporation.

GrowGeneration Corp. (GRWG) purchased HeavyGardens.com, an online seller of hydroponic and grow supplies. HeavyGardens.com is projected to generate over $5,000,000 in sales for GrowGen for fiscal year-end 2019.

In earnings….

KushCo Holdings, Inc. (KSHB) formerly known as Kush Bottles said that it is expecting to report a 171% increase in annual revenue to over $51 million for the fiscal year ended August 31st, 2018. The stock popped over 8% to lately trade at $5.23 on the news.

Sunniva (SNNVF) reported that its total revenues over a six month period were C$9.6 million, against a net loss of C$11.2 million, compared to an C$11.7 million loss in the same period last year and the company did a bought deal for $10 million.

And Canopy Rivers (RIV) began trading on the Toronto Exchange under the symbol RIV.

Here’s What You Do If Your Dog Accidentally Gets High

There are countless ways your dog accidentally gets high. From mistakenly eating an edible, to ingesting a few buds that you carelessly left on your nightstand, to having your curious canine drink the water from your bong. These things happen. So what do you do if your pup gets high? First, don’t freak out.

Here’s why: this “my dog accidentally got high” anecdote is more common than you might think. Pups across America are getting high all the time. In fact, in the last five years alone there has been a whopping 330 percent increase in people seeking aid from the Pet Poison Helpline for their high pets, according to the Helpline’s director, Ahna Brutlag. This doesn’t just include dogs though: birds, cats, rabbits and other domestic animals have been reported “accidentally” high.

Uncomfortable, Yes. Deadly? No.

The symptoms vary greatly, but are rarely fatal. According to a 2013 study published in Topics in Companion Animal Medicine, these symptoms can include vomiting, tremors, agitation and in some cases seizures, depending on the dosage consumed and the potency of the marijuana.

For example, a dog who ate a pot brownie might have a higher or more severe reaction than a pup who accidentally ate a marijuana bud, especially if the former contains chocolate. Chemicals in chocolate, specifically theobromine, are often responsible for a dog’s vomiting and upset stomach.

The best thing you can do is take note of the symptoms and call the Pet Poison Helpline and be honest. This honesty will go a long way and will allow the hotline to better aid in the next course of action, which usually includes allowing the pup to sleep it off.

However, in rare cases where your animal consumes cannabutter, that’s probably a good time to bring them into the nearest vet, immediately. The 2013 study notes that “Although the drug has a high margin of safety, deaths have been seen after ingestion of food products containing the more concentrated medical-grade THC butter.”

Marijuana Can Actually Help Fido

You should know that not all pups under the influence of marijuana are accidents. There is actually a growing community of people who give their pets biscuits and other treats containing CBD (cannabis’ non-psychoactive ingredient) to treat certain ailments. It has already been proven that cannabis can be a strong remedy for a wide variety of medical conditions including cancers, seizures and chronic pain in humans and so now, people are using them to treat their pets’ health problems as well.

But in the event you are not apart of the community of people intentionally getting their pets high to treat ailments here’s one thing you can do to make sure your pets are guarded from your weed: be responsible and stop leaving your packed bowl on the kitchen table.

Bad Childhood: Can Marijuana Help Me Cope With Traumatic Memories?

Frank Sinatra: Why do you drink so much?
Dean Martin: I drink to forget.
Sinatra: Forget what?
Martin: I don’t know. I forgot that a long time ago.

The quest for an elixir that can relieve us of the burden of memory from a bad childhood and more is a longstanding one. Delivered at the swinging-60s crest of the Rat Pack era, when high-functioning alcoholism was regarded more as an aspirational lifestyle than a debilitating disease, Frankie and Dino’s exchange suggested one possible answer. But the promise of booze as a soothing balm of forgetfulness is mostly a delusion. Alcohol works with what you give it: If you are fixated and depressed when you start drinking, odds are you’ll just end up a fixated, depressed drunk.

Of course, it’s true that if you drink enough, you’ll black out. But that’s not forgetting, more like targeted oblivion.

Marijuana, on the other hand, has been shown to play a role in producing, sustaining, and—most important here—dulling traumatic memories. The science is still in its infancy, but it offers great promise for helping people anxiety disorders, like post traumatic stress.

Anecdotally, there’s been plenty of evidence that cannabis helps ease the symptoms of PTSD. But it wasn’t quantified until 2014. That’s when a study conducted in New Mexico on PTSD sufferers reported that cannabis use reduced symptoms by an average of 75 percent. The study itself acknowledges that this figure might be exaggerated, but, even accounting for bias, it’s an impressive result.

Another study from 2014 may provide a neurological explanation for this mitigation. [Trigger warning: contains scenes of rat-directed sadism.]

Researchers at the University of Haifa attempted to induce PTSD in lab rats, first by shocking their tiny, pink feet and then by following up on ensuring days with “trauma reminders”—which are probably not something that makes a pleasant ping! as it flashes a text box across your smartphone screen. Predictably, the distressed rodents began to exhibit classic PTSD symptoms, including jumpiness, avoidance, “impaired plasticity” in the brain’s reward center, and a tendency to hang out by the methadone clinic with a dude named Rico.

Here’s the interesting point: Similarly traumatized rats that were injected with synthetic cannabinoids did not present these symptoms. In fact, these rats responded even better than a control group that was given  Zoloft, an antidepressant often prescribed for PTSD. And it wasn’t just because they were too high to care. Something in the cannabinoids actually prevented their brains from altering in response the repeated stress. In other words, the rats remembered the trauma; it just didn’t fuck them up.

Recently, researchers from the University of Colorado have cleared the last regulatory hurdle for what will be to date the most comprehensive—and, at $2 million, the most well-funded—clinical trial of cannabis on PTSD.  There’s every reason for optimism. But we’ll have to curb our enthusiasm: The results are not expected until 2019.

Music, Your Brain And Marijuana: Not What You Think

How does getting high affect the way we hear and process music? Music, your brain and marijuana have been associated for a long time. The names of some of the most popular musicians of their day have been synonymous with dankness: Satchmo, Dylan, The Grateful Dead, The Beatles, Willie Nelson, Bob Marley, the list goes on and on.

But does cannabis hyper-engage the brain when it comes to music?

A British study published in International Journal of Neuropsychopharmacology documents “the first controlled human experiment on the interactive effects of cannabis and music.” You may be surprised by the outcome. The researchers were. The report concluded:

“Cannabis administration decreased response to music in several brain regions linked to reward and emotion.”

In order to qualify as a participant in the study, subjects had to be fluent in English, right-handed, be between the ages of 18 and 70,  and a current cannabis smoker who can “smoke a whole joint to oneself.” What fun.

Researchers sourced cannabis from the Netherlands, one sample with CBD, one without and a placebo with matching terpene profile to create an effective illusion. They used a vaporizer to administer the doses. They provided two back-to-back bags of vapor to be consumed at each person’s own pace. Participants ranked the pleasantness of listening to a series of short audio clips of various music and their brains were imaged using a functional MRI machine to record regional activity changes.

The brain scans of those who listened to music under the influence of the marijuana containing no CBD showed reduction in reaction not just in the auditory cortex but in several areas of the brain expected to be excited and engaged by the music. “These findings were contrary to our prediction that cannabis would increase the rewarding effects of music,” researchers noted. Interestingly enough, the effects were offset when cannabis contained cannabidiol. CBD is known to mitigate some of the negative effects of THC such as anxiety.

The science community has long been interested in how marijuana use affects how we perceive sound. They have sought to explain this cultural connection between music and marijuana. In the 1960s, scientists like Dr. Arnold Ludwig examined the effects of psychotropic drugs like cannabis and their effect on time-space perception. He pointed out that shamans and others experience a ‘temporal shift” that makes music and related special ceremonies take on new meaning for the participants.

A 1976 study on the effects of marijuana on hearing noted, “All of these effects were perceived as emotionally pleasant or cognitively interesting, leading to greatly enhanced enjoyment of sound and music.” It concluded that “that smoking marihuana did not worsen the hearing.” Some have even hypothesized that cannabis may one day be used as a hearing aid.

Fortunately for us, when researchers are thrown a curve by their findings, it can often motivate them to dig deeper and ask more questions. This mystery of how cannabis affects our brains when we listen to music is far from resolved but it remains important as a cultural and scientific phenomenon.

As cannabis users can attest, something is very different when you listen to music high. As legendary composer Claude Debussy is known to have said, “music is the space between the notes.”

Meghan Markle Still Does Her Own Grocery Shopping At Whole Foods

0

You can take away her low cut blouses, freedom to cross her legs, and floppy hats, but you can’t take away her love of grocery shopping.

Meghan Markle may be a royal now, which means other people do her grocery shopping and cooking for the most part, but she still likes her trips to Whole Foods. Who can blame her? The scent of entire paychecks being spent is intoxicating.

A source tells People that the Duchess still shops at Whole Foods “incognito” with her signature baseball cap, just like she does when she hits up a pilates class or salon. Besides tending to her royal duties, which includes being holed up with Prince Harry at Kensington Palace, “the only other place she has visited regularly is Whole Foods, which is little more than five minutes away from Kensington Palace,”” says the source.

Now that the buzz surrounding her wedding has died down, Markle best get in her “incognito” shopping before she gets knocked up and is really easy to spot.

Refinery29 posits that Markle is loading up on chia seeds for her homemade chia seed pudding, green juice, almond milk, carrots and hummus, since those are the five items she revealed in 2016 to always have on hand in her refrigerator.

In April, an 8-months-pregnant Kate Middelton was reportedly spotted doing her own grocery shopping at a Waitrose supermarket in Norfolk, England. The Duchess was seen loading up her bags into her Land Rover with the help of a body guard.

Royal expert and founder of the Royal Musings blog, Marlene Koenig, told BAZAAR.com at the time that, “I doubt she does the weekly shopping, as she does have a small household staff at Kensington Palace and Anmer Hall who probably take care of most things. But I think the Duchess of Cambridge, who has lived in a non-royal world, takes a more active role in what her family eats.”

Before he popped the question to Markle, Prince Harry told Newsweek that he also likes to do his own grocery shopping, saying, “Sometimes, when I come away from the meat counter in my local supermarket, I worry someone will snap me with their phone. But I am determined to have a relatively normal life, and if I am lucky enough to have children, they can have one too.”

Beyoncé’s Former Drummer Accuses Singer Of ‘Extreme Witchcraft’

In an unexpected and very strange turn of events, Beyoncé’s ex drummer Kimberly Thompson is accusing the singer of conducting “extreme witchcraft” and using spells to run surveillance over her life and finances. The pair worked together for seven years, with Thompson playing an important role in Beyoncé’s all-woman band.

Blast reports that Thompson filed a restraining order against Beyoncé and that she also explained in court documents her relationship with the singer. The allegations get weirder the more you read the court documents, with Thompson claiming that Beyoncé used “dark magic” and conducted “magic spells of sexual molestation” on her, keeping tabs on her life and harassing her. She culminates by saying that Beyoncé also murdered her kitten.

While Thompson doesn’t explain why she thinks Beyoncé is keeping tabs on her or is set on ruining her life, she’s adamant that it’s the singer’s fault and wants her as far away from her as possible. Blast reports that Thompson worked with Beyoncé during her “Single Ladies” years and that she’s also worked with the band that works on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”

The judge denied Thompson’s request for a restraining order.

Meme Of The Week: We Can’t Stop Talking About ‘A Star Is Born’

A Star Is Born premiered at the Venice film festival to great acclaim. The film, directed by Bradley Cooper and starring Lady Gaga, was bound to make some people talk, but no one expected it to get serious Oscar buzz. Maybe the initial hesitance was due to the fact that audience members tend to be more critical of actors-turned-directors, or maybe it’s because the movie is the third remake of a film that originally premiered in 1937. Whatever the reason, A Star Is Born has been at the forefront of people’s minds, including those that aren’t as involved with the film community.

A Star Is Born‘s presence on the internet is pervasive, with various social commentators turning it into one of the most anticipated movies of the year. The perfectly cut trailer, which has been viewed over 97,000 times, is also a contributing factor.

Showing the audience just the right amount of content to entice them, the clip features Bradley Cooper singing country music (??!!) and an under-dressed Lady Gaga that looks like a completely different person. When the trailer builds up to the part where she starts to sing, it’s hard not to get swept up by the grandiosity of it all — the beautiful sunsets, the romance, and all that screaming. Naturally, the memes started popping up in all forms.
