There’s Mounting Evidence Meghan Markle Has Already Given Birth

If all the buzz surrounding Meghan Markle is true, there’s a strong likelihood she has already given birth to baby Sussex.

The noise surrounding this rumor gained volume on Sunday when Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, was reported to have arrived in England. Now, if one were to surmise that a mom would arrive to be by her daughter’s side before she gave birth, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that Meghan could have given birth sometime between her mom’s arrival and today.

Also, on April 15, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, announced they’ll be visiting Germany May 7 for a three day tour. And since it’s assumed they’re both expected to be nearby when the royal baby is born, it’s probably also safe to assume Meghan is expected to give birth before the trip begins. So if she’s already given birth, all of this information adds up.

Couple this with the facts we already know: Meghan and Harry don’t plan to announce their baby’s arrival until days after it’s born, and Meghan’s due date has been announced several times as late April/early May.

SheKnows speculates Meghan could have gone into early labor:

“Meghan could have been experiencing early signs of labor or possibly have been informed by her doctor that baby Sussex’s arrival was imminent. When you’re that close to the end of your pregnancy, doctor’s appointments typically take place weekly — and given that she’s a royal, perhaps even more frequently. Suffice it to say, Meghan and Harry probably had a pretty good beat on when their baby might make its big debut.”

Meghan also missed Easter service Sunday, which was also the Queen’s birthday. According to the Daily Mail‘s royal correspondent Rebecca English, it wasn’t exactly a surprise.

Even if Meghan has not yet given birth, it’s likely we can expect to hear about a royal arrival sooner than later.

Is This Why Adele Split From Her Husband?; Britney Spears Comments On Rumors She’s Being Held Captive

Did Adele split from Simon Konecki because he couldn’t handle her fame?

A source is telling E! News the two decided to go their separate ways because “they just grew apart.”

“They had a lot in common early on, but eventually they just grew apart,” the insider shares. “She became a bigger and bigger star, and he was okay [with] being in the background, but as she got bigger and had massive tours and intense schedules, they just grew apart.”

The source reveals they plan to “keep this amicable.”

Britney Spears comments on rumors, death threats

Via Fox News:

Britney Spears responded to rumors she’s being held against her will at a wellness center and said her family is receiving death threats in a video posted to Instagram Tuesday evening.

Fans began the #FreeBritney based on unfounded rumors that the 37-year-old pop star was being held against her will at a mental health institution by her father, Jamie Spears.

The 66-year-old gained sole conservatorship of his daughter’s estate in March after the singer’s attorney, Andrew Wallet, suddenly resigned.

Wallet had controlled Spears’ finances since her public meltdown in 2008. The artist checked herself into a wellness facility for mental health treatment earlier this month to help her cope with her father’s declining health, Fox News previously reported.

“There’s rumors, death threats to my family and my team, and just so many things crazy things being said,” Spears wrote Tuesday without clarifying whether she was kept at the mental health institution against her will or if she voluntarily committed to treatment. “My situation is unique, but I promise I’m doing what’s best at this moment,” she added.

Adding fuel to the fire, Britney’s mother, Lynne Spears, 63, liked several comments on her own Instagram post last week that supported rumors of her daughter being held captive. “Give Britney back her freedom, her voice, her life! Love you guys #freeBritney,” read one post the matriarch liked.

The “Toxic” singer concluded Tuesday’s post by assuring fans that she’s strong and stands up for what she wants. “Your love and dedication is amazing, but what I need right now is a little bit of privacy to deal with all the hard things that life is throwing my way,” Spears said. The songstress announced in January that she was taking an indefinite hiatus on her “Britney: Domination” show in Las Vegas to be by her father’s side as he battles a serious colon condition.

Survey: Nearly Half Of Us Would Rather Have A Clean House Than Sex

A clean house or a romp in the sack. Which would you prefer? If you’re like the majority of those who participated in a new study, you’d rather have a shiny home.

A recent survey found that more than 44% of people would choose to have a clean house over having sex. In fact, these people would prefer to live with their parents over the prospect of living in a messy home. If you think about it, this thinking makes some sense since cleanliness is a trait that affects many aspects of a person’s appearance and mentality.

The survey, conducted by Decluttr, aimed to find out how the state of a person’s home affects their sex life; it turns out, it affects it a lot. Results show that 50% of participants were more likely to have sex with their partners if they had completed their household chores. Sixty percent considered a tidy bedroom to be enough of an incentive for sex.

Cleanliness might not be at the top of our minds when we first meet someone and are considering their attractiveness, but it’s a trait that can quickly become a deal breaker for many. “When it comes to dating, Americans are hesitant to continue a relationship with someone whose household isn’t organized with 40% of respondents reporting that they’re likely to end a relationship with someone who has a cluttered and/or dirty home,” explains Decluttr via press release.

Although cleanliness is not something we naturally equate with sex appeal, there are few things more off-putting that a messy and dirty home. People who are content in messy homes and settings have been linked with traits like anxiety, depression and lack of focus and productivity. Setting aside a few minutes each day to pick things up and do your dishes can do a lot for your health, like boosting your cognitive functions and making you feel good about yourself.

Elizabeth Warren Doubles Down On Supporting Marijuana Legalization

This week Elizabeth Warren gained attention nationwide after announcing her higher education platform that would eliminate tuition for two-year and four-year public college, in addition to wiping away student loan debt for millions of Americans. But during a CNN town hall for presidential candidates, Warren also doubled down on her support for marijuana legalization.

A major impetus for her support? Racial disparities in current marijuana prohibition laws.

“The best evidence suggests that African Americans and whites use marijuana at about the same rates,” she said, according to Huffington Post.

“But African Americans are more likely to be arrested [than] whites are … if we talk about criminal justice reform, we need to start with the things we make illegal. One of the best places we could start with is the legalization of marijuana.”

While Warren delicned to publicly endorse her home state of Massachusetts’s ballot vote for recreational marijuana legalization in 2016, she responded to a Harvard student that suggested she opposed the state’s medical marijuana vote back in 2013. In fact, over the past few years, Warren has been one of the biggest public supporters of marijuana reform.

“I supported Massachusetts changing its laws on marijuana and I now support the legalization of marijuana [in the United States],” the senator replied.

Along with Sen. Cory Gardner (CO-R), Warren is one of the lead sponsors on the STATES Act, which would protect those in states with legalized marijuana from any federal prosecution or regulation. In addition, Warren co-sponsored other significant pieces of marijuana legislation like the SAFE Banking Act—which would protect banks and credit unions who want to work with cannabis companies from federal penalties—and the Marijuana Justice Act—which would remove cannabis from the list of controlled substances, making it legal on the federal level.

She currently has an A ranking from the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML).

Battle For California Cannabis Access Is Roadmap For States Considering Legalization

Over the last few years, California has gained a reputation of being a state where cannabis is completely legal and out in the open. In reality, cannabis isn’t nearly as “free” as people think it is in the Golden State, with many cities outright banning commercial cannabis activities. Right now, there is an ongoing battle between the state and local governments for access to cannabis, which should be the first place that states (and possibly even Congress) look when considering legalization.

For background, the operative state cannabis law in California—the Medicinal and Adult-Use Cannabis Recreation and Safety Act (“MAUCRSA”)—allows cities and counties to “adopt and enforce local ordinances to . . . completely prohibit the establishment or operation of one or more types of businesses licensed under this division within the local jurisdiction.” This provision (as well as some other related ones) have created a great deal of tension between state and local governments.

RELATED: FDA Issues More Guidance On CBD Products

The result of this comprehensive local control is that some local governments reject commercial cannabis activity altogether, or only allow very limited licensing and/or no retail sales or delivery. For example, only a small handful of the approximately 90 cities in Los Angeles County allow cannabis retail sales. To boot, many other localities throughout the Golden State prohibit deliveries within their borders. This continued prohibition even occurs in many cities whose voters approved of adult use cannabis sales back in 2016.

Local bans have created a good deal of regulatory and administrative chaos throughout the state, including the fact that the state is not netting the expected tax revenue it would otherwise receive if all local markets were open. One sticking point in particular is the fact that cities that don’t allow cannabis businesses also don’t even allow delivery to their citizens. According to the state though, that’s going to change. And fast.

The Bureau of Cannabis Control (“BCC”) recently created a regulation that allows deliveries by licensed cannabis retailers into any city or county in the state regardless of any local delivery ban. This was widely praised in the cannabis industry but was immediately attacked by localities.

RELATED: Does Legalizing Marijuana Help Or Harm Americans? Weighing The Statistical Evidence

To combat open deliveries, legislation was introduced (AB-1530) to specifically allow cities to forbid deliveries. AB-1530 recently failed passage on April 9, 2019 but may be reconsidered. A number of California cities also recently sued the BCCover this regulation. The litigation was only just filed, but we expect that the cities will move to enjoin the BCC’s implementation of this new open delivery rule—the result would be that deliveries could only occur in cities that allow them, which is the status quo. We don’t yet know how that litigation will unfold but will continue to follow it as it progresses.

Another recently introduced piece of legislation is AB-1356 would require local jurisdictions to allow certain local retail permitting if local voters voted in favor of the Control, Regulate and Tax Adult Use of Marijuana Act of 2016. In other words, AB-1356 would overrule local governments where local voters approved of the adult-use precursor to MAUCRSA.

One thing that’s obvious from these recent challenges and new bills is that there is room for compromise. Cities that don’t want to have brick-and-mortal cannabis operations, for example, could agree to allow regulated deliveries. Whether they agree or not, any total ban is likely to be ineffective and may only result in the further proliferation of the existing black market. Cannabis prohibition didn’t work previously; it’s not likely to work now on the local level either.

This battle is ultimately important for jurisdictions considering adopting cannabis laws. The point of legalization, regulation, and taxation is to outpace the black market and ensure safe and reliable access to cannabis with public health in mind—not to impose additional costs on the state and to shift disputes from the criminal courts to the civil ones. While local control is important and serves a legitimate purpose for protecting communities, lack of access to cannabis will really only serve to harm communities where the unregulated and unscrupulous black market rages on.

How To Manage Your Marijuana High

Whether you are new to cannabis or have been consuming for years, finding the right amount to consume can be a frustrating experience. It’s easy to consume too much, and unlike edibles, cannabis flower has no natural “dose”. No matter how you like to consume cannabis, this information should help you avoid overconsumption and elevate your experience. Keep in mind that potency varies between strains, so you may want to repeat this process or adjust based on each new strain.

Glass

Whether it’s a bong, bubbler, or simple hand pipe, the best way to avoid over consumption is to pack small, single-hit bowls. Adjust the size of the bowl until you find one that works for you. Once you understand your body’s reaction to different amounts, it becomes much easier to hit the perfect amount from a fully loaded bowl. If multiple small bowls in a session seems tedious, try out a cannabis dispenser like PenSimple, which can handle the task in seconds with just the push of a button.

Papers

Rolling papers and cones are tougher to manage than glass, but still possible. For rolling papers put a small amount of cannabis in and roll it tight and skinny, finding a good balance between density and airflow. For cones, simply fill the cone up halfway or less, twisting and removing the excess paper.

One-Hitters

Traditional one-hitters offer a single bowl size, clog quickly, and are difficult to ash and clean deeply. Fortunately, the tried and true micro-dosing platform has recently gotten a major upgrade, the Simple One-Hitter + Dugout. The Simple One-Hitter has a built-in slider that allows easy ashing as well as an adjustable bowl size. The Simple Dugout is the slimmest available and holds the Simple One-Hitter, poker, and multiple grams of your favorite herb.

Hopefully you now feel more comfortable starting, restarting, or just refining your cannabis flower consumption. We know no one wants to overconsume, so take this confidence and have some fun with it! For more sleek and thoughtful cannabis products, check out Simple Accessories.

Britney Spears’ Fans Demand Release of Pop Star from Psychiatric Facility; Meghan And Harry Leave Comment On Pics Of Prince Louis

Britney Spears’ Fans Demand Release of Pop Star from Psychiatric Facility

Via Variety:

A group of protesters gathered outside City Hall in West Hollywood on Monday afternoon (April 22) to demand the release of pop star Britney Spears from a psychiatric facility. Carrying “Free Britney” signs and chanting “Hands off, Britney” and “Justice for Britney” about a dozen fans took to the corner of Santa Monica Blvd. and N. Sweetzer Ave. Almost as many news crews arrived to document the protesters, which was also live-streamed. The group’s position: that Spears is being kept from making decisions on her own behalf. The location chosen does not appear to have any particular significance.

Spears checked into a facility in late March after suffering from emotional distress, a source confirmed to Variety. On Easter Sunday, she was granted a one-day leave to celebrate the holiday with her family, People reported. Spears was photographed leaving the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills on April 21.

Spears has been troubled over the past year by her father’s health crisis. Jamie Spears recently underwent a second surgery to fix a ruptured colon.

In November, the “…Baby, One More Time” pop star put her Las Vegas residency on hold to look after her dad. She wrote on Instagram: “A couple of months ago, my father was hospitalized and almost died. We’re all so grateful that he came out of it alive, but he still has a long road ahead of him. I had to make the difficult decision to put my full focus and energy on my family at this time.”

Spears’ mental issues date back to 2007 when the pop star infamously shaved her head and attacked the paparazzi with an umbrella. She later checked into the psych ward at UCLA’s Medical Center. That same year, superfan Chris Crocker became a viral sensation with his video pleading for the world to “Leave Britney alone.”

Meghan and Harry Left a Comment on Kate Middleton’s Pics of Prince Louis

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry just left a personal comment on Kate Middleton’s new photos of Prince Louis. The palace released photos of Louis in celebration of his first birthday and they are insanely sweet, so prepare accordingly.

Via Cosmopolitan:

Yesterday afternoon, Kensington Palace released a series of pictures of Prince Louis that were, quite possibly, the cutest things my eyeballs have ever seen. And I follow several accounts devoted to puppies so my eyeballs have SEEN SOME CUTE THINGS. Anyway, the photos were shared in celebration of Prince Louis’ first birthday, and were taken by none other than his mom, casual royal who moonlights as an amateur photographer, Kate Middleton.

The royals have always shared photos of royal babies with the public around special occasions, but thanks to social media, Instagram has become the go-to spot for royal updates. And now that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have split royal houses from Prince William and Kate (and have their very own Instagram account!), fans were waiting with bated breath to see if they’d comment on these Louis pics. And they sure AF did. In fact, their note was super personal, and obviously written by one of them as opposed to a staff member.

“Happy Birthday Louis!” Meghan and Harry wrote on the pics. “Sending lots of love from both of us.” They also added a birthday cake and red balloon emoji for good measure.

Instagram Is Considering Hiding The ‘Like’ Count

One of Instagram’s most defining and addictive features is the “like.” Seeing this number rise is basically pavlovian, keeping you checking your feed your hours. The feature is the most recognizable part of the app and has become the most reliable way of measuring engagement with followers.

While at first liking posts made the app simple and fun, it’s now become a source of stress for many users, motivating Instagram to consider hiding the like count from everyone except the person who created the post.

RELATED: Instagram Is Developing An App Just For Shopping

Code hunter Jane Wong was the first to discover this function, uploading a screenshot through Twitter and explaining that Instagram wanted followers to focus on what’s being shared instead of the overall likes.

“We’re not testing this at the moment, but exploring ways to reduce pressure on Instagram is something we’re always thinking about,” the company explained to The Verge.

RELATED: Finstagrams: Inside The New Social Trend

Although hiding the like count from other Instagram users could reduce anxiety and make the experience a more liberating one, it would also uproot the way in which Instagram influencers conduct business and operate their platforms. Likes are what encourage people to post and what ultimately facilitate business opportunities. “The more engagement you have the higher chance of you getting more sponsorships and collaborations,” says beauty influencer Nanite Jean-Aimee.

The like count is a large part of what makes Instagram the world’s favorite app. Hiding it could transform the experience into something else entirely.

The Crazy Effect Coffee Has On Doughnuts Will Surprise You

0

Dunking doughnuts into hot coffee is not just a textural and sensory wonderland. Science now says the two actually counteract each other.

According to the Journal of Food Science, caffeinated coffee can dull the sweetness of sugar. And not just doughnuts, but all sugary foods like muffins, cake, cookies and cereal. That means that by sipping on your morning cup of joe, you could be completely changing the taste of your breakfast or mid-morning sugar craving.

RELATED: Good Morning! Here Are 5 Amazing Cannabis Coffee Products

In one study, more than 100 participants sampled decaf coffee supplemented with either caffeine (a level found in you average cup of strong coffee) or an equally bitter concentration of  quinine (a white, bitter, slightly water-soluble alkaloid). Both groups then added sugar to their coffee. The result? The group drinking the caffein-supplemented coffee reported that it tasted less sweet. And that subsequent sugar consumption tastes less sweet as well.

As a by-product of this study, researchers found that:

Panelists were also unable to discern whether they had consumed the caffeinated or non-caffeinated coffee, with ratings of alertness increased equally, but no significant improvement in reaction times, highlighting coffee’s powerful placebo effect.

Ain’t that something. So basically, whether or not you’re drinking decaf or regular coffee, chances are, if you’re used to drinking caffeinated coffee, it will still have the same “alertness” aftershock.

RELATED: Watch This Guy Fail Miserably At Trying To Feed Cops Doughnuts

The whole thing centers around adenosine, a chemical in our brains that makes us sleepy. The study refers to caffeine as “a powerful antagonist” to the receptors that adenosine binds to. That’s where that “alert” feeling comes from. Caffeine makes us feel we’re more awake when our body and mind may not be.

Another possible side-effect of a caffeine and sugar bomb combo is that, since you can’t really taste the full sweetness of that doughnut, you may crave another. And another. And then, well, two words: sugar crash.

Someone Seriously Created A Bitmoji Bible

They are now part of the communication….and now the time has come when religion gets the Bitmoji treatment.

The Bitmoji Bible, developed by Daniel Eckler, is a series of Bitmoji icons that illustrate some of the Bible’s most famous stories like David and Goliath, Adam and Eve, and Jesus crawling through the floor on his search for coffee. Some liberties from the original text were taken.

RELATED: Study: Using Emojis On Work Emails Makes You Look Bad

Eckler spoke with Mashable and explained the purpose of this project, which he co-created.

“Today’s children are more likely to read a text message than a book. Given the Bible has been translated into more than 3000 languages, I thought it should be translated into one of the most popular contemporary languages,” he says.

He explains that while the series of Bitmojis are meant to educate kids, adults will hopefully see these icons from a more humorous place. Eckler says that lately he’s been exploring Catholicism and found passages in the bible that transform complex myths and ideas into digestible stories.

RELATED: This Fake Boyfriend App Saves You From Awkward Moments

The Bitmojis are very simple, sometimes telling an entire biblical story through a single icon. It’s unlikely that a kid will ever be able to experience the bible through Bitmojis, but it’s still a funny idea. In truth, the weird existence of a Bitmoji Bible is enough of a selling point for me.

You can check out the entire list of Bitmojis on the Bitmoji Bible’s website.
