While in today’s tech-oriented world it seems odd people use Zodiac signs as a guide, but it is true.  In India, you match is an important step toward an arranged marraige. In the US and Canada, 78% of active Bumble users added a zodiac badge to their profile. Many daters see certain combinations of star signs as more compatible than others, which can have a bearing on their decision of whether to approach somebody. And some, if their signs are oil and water, just call it off.

Poor grammar

in a survey of 2,000 people in the dating pool, 71% shared they are turned off by poor punctuation and grammar. If the person’s grammar is awful and barely legible, it’s hard to understand how they’ve managed to lead a functional life.  Some see it as it may show a lack of self-respect or respect for others. There is also the fear of embarrassment when you are hanging out in friend and work groups.

Bad taste in food

The rise of the Insta era has helped us develop our sense of taste, giving us access to delicious food photography, recipes and more. Cunlinary adventures, be it finding the best fried chicken or something more exotic and complicated, has become a priority for a lot of people. While it might appear snobbish, it’s a valid concern if someone doesn’t share this passion with you. Having a guy say, I don’t eat vegetables or order,  a hamburger at a Michelin-starred restaurant can be a true relationship killer. It becomes laborious every time we go out.

Dumb Facebook statuses

The online personality is a reflection of the person and, sometimes, a more accurate one. This is popular deal breaker, where someone’s social media presence is a big turn off and is completely different from how they are in real life.  Someone may be nice in person and a troll online.

Someone addicted to screens

Phone addiction is real, and most suffer from it to some degree. There are people who take it too far, unable to not constantly check their phones on dates and conversations. These people are distracting, rude, and anxiety-inducing. Being glued to a screen prevents the person from seeing their date’s non-verbal behavior. Using them means not giving your undivided attention and being fully present, which is the most potent expression of affection and respect in a relationship.

Can Marijuana Help If You Overdid The Hot Sauce

Did researchers stumble onto a way to calm your hot mouth with marijuana????

If you are are seeing more food loaded with heat, you are not wrong. The hot spicy food trend is not just a fad it’s a global culinary movement. There was a collective gasp when the Sriracha supply dropped and suddenly everyone jumped in the game. Campbells began adding ghost peppers and groceries aisles have become full of options.  But what if you over do it?  Bread, citrus, alcohol, yogurt and milk all can help relieve the pain. But can marijuana help you overdid the hot sauce?

RELATED: Yacht Rock Pairs Perfectly With Cocktails

Well, it is a bit of a complicated answer – the answer is a qualified yes. Most people indulge in a spicy things at the last moment.  You stop by Houston Hot Chicken and you get the extreme heat.  Some places ask you to sign a waiver, in part to make sure you still pay for your food and don’t demand a refund if you can’t it eat.  But using marijuana, planning ahead could be key.

It seems research in San Diego may have stumbled on another way to cool the mouth accidentally.

Researchers from UCSD’s Center for Medical Cannabis Research were testing marijuana’s potential to ease neuropathic pain. To simulate the pain associated with chemotherapy or HIV/AIDS, researchers injected participants with capsaicin, the active component putting the heat in peppers. In addition to the sensation of heat, capsaicin produces pain and, for this reason, is an important tool in the study of pain.

The trial was a success, cannabis produced a significant, if modest, improvement in pain.  The subjects reported a decrease in pain at the medium dose, and there was also a significant correlation between plasma levels of  THC, the active ingredient in cannabis, and decreased pain.

RELATED: The 5 Most Mouth-Wrecking Hot Peppers And The Idiots Who Ate Them

The first problem is dosage. Cannabis has a narrow window for pain relief. Too little has no effect, but too much makes the pain even worse. The optimum amount roughly 4% THC.

The second problem is reaction time. The analgesic effect it immediate; it takes about 45 minutes. For anyone with a mouthful of habanero burning like an out of control fire, 45 minutes seems a bit long for relief.  You would have to preplan and microdose.  Or maybe put some cannabis oil in your mouth before you indulge in the spice.

Eating hot sauce can stimulate “high. When you eat something spicy and the capsaicinoids (from capsaicins) hit the tongue, a message — similar to that of being near a hot fire — is sent to the brain, essentially tricking it into thinking the mouth is being burned and needs assistance quickly (It’s the same thing which happens when you touch your eye or other sensitive areas after handling a hot pepper). The brain responds by releasing endorphins. Which gives you a short high.

More research will need to be done focused on this area before there is an immediate practical solution.

Why Golfers Are Mastering CBD

Things are gearing up for the Masters, the PGA and LIV are making nice and cbd is quietly helping golfers – wait – what was the third thing?

After a bitter fight, it seems the Saudi backed LIV Golf and the Professional Golf Tournament (PGA) are making nice and everyone seems ready to be polite at the upcoming Masters Tournament. The PGA Tour agreed to merge with LIV Golf in June 2023, ending ongoing lawsuits and allowing competitors to move forward as a larger operation. The two parties agreed to merge the commercial operations and rights of LIV Golf and PGA Tour into a new, unnamed, for-profit corporation. But the devil is in the details and it isn’t fully settled.  Despite the uncertainly, even casual golfers are gearing up to watch the annual Masters in Georgia to see both sides being nice.

In golf, the Masters is one of the most viewed tournaments, but what you won’t see is the answer to why golfers are mastering CBD.  Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson heavily suggested they consuming CBD-infused gum at tournaments, including the Masters. Greg Norman, Bubba Watson and Lucas Glover have all openly revealed they regularly use CBD oil to take their game to the next level.  So why have the embraced this cannabis derived cbd oil?  Simple it helps them play and recover better and quicker.

While CBD comes from the cannabis plant, it doesn’t contain tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive ingredient found in marijuana that produces a high. This is the key reason it is sold in mainstream retailers like Walmart and Amazon. It has been scientifically proven to have medical benefits and helps with anxiety, inflammation, and more.

A key benefit of CBD for golfers it helps calm nerves and anxiety experienced while playing.  It is an individual game were you are completing against yourself and others while be watched. A person’s mental state plays a key role in any sport, so being as serene as possible will always help improve performance.

In additional, the game requires a significant amount of muscles and, in tournaments, over and over again for 1-3 days. CBD can help with fatigue, tiredness and muscle pain. In addition it can help a golfer recover quicker to allow playing round after round, day after day. Whether you’re sore from the day before or fighting off the sluggishness aging brings, it can gently relax and reduce many body issues.

Like cannabis, there still needs to be more research and you may want to experiment with dosage.  If you are a regular golfer, this could be another helpmate on the course.

Should You Stir CBD Into Your Morning Coffee

CBD has promised a ton and delivered some.  Should you kicks start your day with a little in your java?

Every morning, roughly 63% of Americans and 71% of Canadians savor a hot cup of coffee. It is a morning ritual shown in movies, memories and memes. But can it be a vehicle to help improve your mood and general state of mine.  CBD oil, which has gained popularity as a stress reliever over the last few years. Studies also show CBD reduces aggressive behavior and effectively helps you chill out. If it is all true, should stir CBD in into your morning coffee?

Studies have shown CBD contains anti-anxiety, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory properties. Add the caffeine boost you receive from coffee and it seems like the perfect way to start your day. It’s widely reported by those who use both caffeine and CBD oil the combination can remove the jittery edge.

However, combining CBD with your coffee fundamentally changes how it affects your body. That’s why experts recommend not doing so if you’re using the extract for medicinal purposes.

“Those who want to use CBD for serious medical conditions, such as seizure disorders or inflammation from autoimmune disorders, should not take CBD in this manner, as accurate CBD dosing is extremely important for efficacy in these types of illnesses,” Bonni Goldstein, a California-based physician specializing in cannabinoid therapy.

Should You Mix CBD With Your Morning Coffee?

A study backed up Goldstein. According to researchers analyzing cannabis tea, temperature changes CBD content in both hot and cold liquids. So, if you require precise dosing of medicine, it’s best not to dump your CBD oil into a hot cup of joe.

RELATED: How Many People Can You Date At One Time

Those approaching the issue from a wellness perspective don’t have such concerns. Anecdotal evidence of the therapeutic effects combining CBD and coffee to boost your day-to-day proceedings is mixed. Some say that CBD-infused coffee diminishes the buzzing rush caffeine delivers while lowering anxiety symptoms. But others find the pairing disorienting. Since CBD is also used to achieve a good night’s sleep, the cannabinoid’s drowsy properties fight with coffee’s caffeine to leave you groggy and unsatisfied.

Most importantly, you should understand that CBD affects each individual differently. What works for you might not work for someone else. But we know for certain that dumping CBD oil into your coffee dramatically decreases its bioavailability, or the extent and rate at which the drug enters your body’s circulation to produce the desired effects. CBD oil taken sublingually, or underneath your tongue, maintains a bioavailability between 20-30%, but received orally, like in a drink, drops the bioavailability down to 6%. This is another reason medical experts don’t recommend patients combining the two.

If you’re committed to starting your day with CBD-infused coffee, but don’t want to sacrifice efficacy, we have a recommendation. A 2016 study reported that combining cannabinoids into a fatty acid allows CBD to bypass your metabolism — which is responsible for diminishing the plant’s impact — and increases bioavailability. This explains why many report the most therapeutic effects are found by adding organic butter or coconut oil to make a CBD coffee concoction. It’s a little more work, but your body will thank you for it later.

What’s The Buzz About Beer And Weed

Things change – and things are changing for beer? So what’s up with beer and marijuana?

Beer is universal, it is the 3rd most consumed fluid behind water and tea (surprise – not coffee).  China, the US and Brazil lead the world in consuming beer.  But things are changing again for the popular drink.  So what’s the buzz about beer and weed. With the increased popularity of marijuana in the Americas and Europe, beer is having to figure out a new path.  And we aren’t too sure beer and weed should mix.

RELATED: The Most Popular Marijuana Flavors

The first sign of trouble was in California when beer sales lowered during the first part of the week. Then Canada did a study and said beer sales were slightly shrinking with legal weed and they. Then data shows some people reducing beer consumption and replacing it with marijuana.  Another trend shows Gen Z is drinking less and consuming more…helping spur the trend of California sober.

So, can these two now rivals, mix? Well, it has been a common practice, but it comes with a warning. The combination results in a very specific kind of high. Known as a crossfade high, it is supposed to help you feel especially relaxed. This appears to be because alcohol increases the absorption of THC, ramping up the effects of the high.

But, there are downsides. Some have a really unpleasant high. This could be in the form of greening out, which is basically getting really nauseous, vomiting, and even getting sweaty and pale. Others might get really paranoid.

Unfortunately, when you use weed and beer at the same time, the situation can escalate to a lot more than a bad high. In some cases, the user could wind up with alcohol poisoning, which can sometimes lead to death. Here’s what happens when you mix weed and beer.

According to research published in the journal Neuropsychopharmacology, it seems marijuana impacts the bioavailability of alcohol, or how much is actually absorbed by the body. The results indicated marijuana users had a higher blood-alcohol level than if they had skipped the weed and just had beer.  Due to the absorbing rate, there is a risk of excessive drinking, which could cause alcohol poisoning with symptoms like passing out, hypothermia, slowed breathing, and seizures.

Marijuana is known to reduce vomiting and nausea. While it can be a medical benefit, but when drinking it can have serious consequences. The body often responds to over drinking by making us throw up, preventing alcohol poisoning

It is probably best to just be really careful, to stick with a small amount of alcohol and a small amount of weed and stick with a controlled environment, like you’re home, to make sure you’re safe.

Only part of the country will see a full eclipse, but it doesn’t mean people haven’t immersed themselves in the rare happening. After thousands of years of people seeing the moon and making wild guesses about it, science won and man touched the moon.  In 1969 the American spaceflight Apollo 11 landed the first humans on the lunar crust. Commander Neil Armstrong and Lunar Module Pilot Buzz Aldrin landed the Eagle on July 20at 20:17 UTC with Armstrong becoming the first person to step onto the Moon’s surface six hours and 39 minutes later.  The filming of this has been restored and released.

The next video is NASA showing how incredible the moon looks on 4K resolution. The footage was captured by NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, a spacecraft tasked with recording the different sides of the moon and capturing the satellite in all its glory.

This footage was recorded in 2011, when the spacecraft was launched on a mission called the Tour of the Moon, where the camera visits a lot of interesting sites in order to show the different features of lunar terrain. The footage was recently released with a voice over and 4K resolution, so people would make popcorn, watch this with their friends and scream every five seconds about how trippy and weird space is.

The tour shows the viewer the different sides of the moon, including the parts that are facing the Earth, which can be seen through a telescope, and the areas that can only be seen from space. It also includes digital elevation models, which show how the terrain is made up.

The 4 Things To Avoid In Your Coffee

The start of the week sometimes calls for an oversized coffee. But it is better if you avoid these things

The weekend is time to relax, party, explore or just make the most of life.  So Mondays can be rough with a back to the grind atmosphere.  Sometimes you need a big cup of Joe to get in the grove. Two-thirds of Americans (66%) drink coffee every day, up nearly 14% since January 2021. Globally, it is the 4th most consumed drink behind water, tea, and beer (yes beer).  But despite the love of the hot brew, there are 4 things to void in your coffee so your body is better.

From the rich smell to the smooth feeling as it goes down your thought. Coffee is a popular beverage researchers have studied extensively for its many health benefits, including its ability to increase energy levels, promote weight management, and perhaps enhance athletic performance.  But how to maximize all the benefits of the bean?  Here is some things you might want to reconsider stirring into your cup.

White sugar

this is how much coffee is safe to drink each day

While adding sugar to coffee is a ritual to most people’s mornings, the use of white sugar provides no nutrition and can quickly get out of hand when added to the sugar you consume throughout the rest of your day, especially if you tend to have several cups of coffee a day.

RELATED: Here’s How To Realistically Reduce Sugar From Your Diet

Fortunately, this is one of the easiest problems to solve. While sweeteners have gotten a terrible reputation, studies are unclear on their potential side effects and are believed to be neutral elements: it’s not great for your health, but not detrimental, either. Sweeteners have much less calories and provide more sweetness than sugar, resulting in a drink with less additives. So instead of reaching for white table sugar, try SweetDrops, Stevia, maple syrup or even coconut sugar.

Flavored syrups

Right up there with sugar is flavored syrups. Next time you order your double tall vanilla latte, ask for “one pump of syrup” or else you might end up getting three, which is typical at many coffee chains. Flavored syrups are just cane sugar in liquid form. If you’re using syrups to mask the flavor of your coffee, maybe it’s time to find another coffee shop.

Powdered creamer

Photo by Natalie Collins via Unsplash

Powdered creamers are basically just chemicals and oils flavored as “cream.” Powdered creamer can actually be explosive. We’re not kidding. Cow’s milk or plant based milk makes for a good replacement, having less calories and less concerning stuff that could ruin your mornings. And if you want to skip all the extra hormones, which aren’t great either, head for the plant-based milks. Oat milk is possibly the closest you’ll get to the real thing.

Whipped cream

You already knew this. Whipped cream might be the most delicious addition to any hot drink, but it adds calories, fat and sugar to your morning coffee, not to mention high cholesterol fat if you’re whipping your own using half-and-half. If you’re using the stuff from a spray can, you’re also dealing with a lot of corn syrup and nasty chemicals. It’s best to skip it all together or make your own out of coconut cream.
